ACEs and Trauma-Informed Practices
(5 hours) Online Self-Paced – Open Enrollment
Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) are common in the United States and bring with them some very negative short and long term effects. This online training course serves the purpose of educating directors, trainers, and administrators about the basics of ACEs as well as neuroplasticity, brain development, and trauma-informed practices. ACEs trainings are very challenging emotionally and suggested breaks are built in to the course. There are also peer discussion opportunities, many videos, worksheets, writing and multiple choice assessments. This is a higher level training that requires more student accountability and mental investment in the course content.
